The Gospel means “Good News”
Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” [Mark 1:15]
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the wold to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. [John 3:16-18]
That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. [1 Corinthians 15:3-4 emphasis added]
To enter the Kingdom you need childlike faith!
Jesus brought in a little child as a living object lesson to show who enters the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3 – Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Salvation begins with ABC:
Admit that you are a sinner. This is where godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against a righteous God. There is a true and sincere change of heart. You change your mind and God changes your heart from the inside out.
Romans 3:10 – As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The bad news is that the wages of sin is death. Our sin means that we have been given a death sentence – we have the death penalty hanging over our heads – that’s the bad news. But here’s the good news: The good news is that the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead.
Romans 10:9-10 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam, our first parent, will one day bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord – the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Romans 10:13 – Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 14:11 – It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.”
You can bow and confess now that Jesus is Lord, and be with the Lord for all eternity, or there is a day coming soon when it will be too late. You will still bow – but after that you will be thrown into hell for all eternity. But the choice is always yours.
So, with a sincere and repentant heart [a true desire to turn from sin and give your life to Jesus as Lord.] Confess your sin to the Lord. He hears your voice and knows your heart.
Acts 4:12 – Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
