Who is God?

God is the Eternal Creator of All Things

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

…is he not your father, your Creator, who made you and formed you? Deuteronomy 32:6

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. John 1:1-4

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.  And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.  From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.  ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’  Acts 17:24-28

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. Isaiah 40:28

God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding. Jeremiah 10:12

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:20

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator `made them male and female,’… Matthew 19:4

The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Psalm 103:19

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9

Grace and peace to you from God our Father. Colossians 1:2

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King. Jeremiah 10:10

How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation.  Daniel 4:3

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”   Revelation 1:8

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.  1 John 1:5

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children – with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Psalm 103:8-19
